PTL Group
Information
Research
1987
The Spiker, Bad Brains, Death Star, The Hermit, and Rambo founded the PTL Group. The Transistor joined the group in the summer when he broke severe protection in Marble Madness. Bad Brains moved with his Anarchy Burger Burger in 1987 to Seattle and San Jose to end his pilgrimage in New York City in 1989.
1989
Myth Inc. BBS in Cincinnati, Ohio stopped working on 1 January 1989 and her activities for the group took over the new board The Vortex in Kentucky. The main software suppliers for cracking ALF/TMC and Buyer’s Group were connected to Myth Inc.
Inside information about the group was written by The Spiker in the newsletter Church Chat Volume 4 from January 1989, when PTL members were The Spiker, Dessert Foxx, Specular Vision, The Grand Elusion (Mr. Transistor), Bad Brains, and Jenetic Bytemare. The latter became a distribution site and another cracker with his board Plutonium Mines. The cracks I have identified were carried out by other crackers. 1
